Processamento de Sinais comWavelets: Redução do Efeito do Multicaminho do Sinal GPS

A Análise em Multirresolução (AMR) Wavelets tem se tornado uma ferramenta de grande eficiência para análise de sinais com aplicações em física, reconhecimento de voz, codificação, reconhecimento e segmentação de imagens, redução de ruídos (denoising), estimação de densidade, regressões e outras. Uma importante e recente aplicação refere-se ao uso da AMR para redução de ruídos e do efeito do multicaminho que ocorre principalmente em sinais enviados por satélites, pois estes se refletem em superfícies próximas ao receptor antes de chegarem ao mesmo. Esses sinais refletidos deslocam o sinal direto causando diversos erros que prejudicam a precisão e acurácia dos resultados obtidos nos sistemas de posicionamento por satélite, tais como o GPS (Global Positioning System). Foram realizados experimentos em ambiente com objetos refletores para gerar propositalmente erros de multicaminho. Os resultados foram comparados com e sem a aplicação da AMR. Após a correção do efeito do multicaminho, os resultados se mostraram muito promissores, pois obtiveram-se até 30% de melhorias.References
