Peer Review Process

The analysis and approval of articles submitted to Trends in Applied and Computational Mathematics begins with the receipt of articles sent by the authors via the website (online). When submitting an article on the Revista TEMA website (http://www.sbmac.org.br/tema/seer/index.php/tema) an electronic message is sent to the author confirming receipt of the work. Once received, the articles are sent by the Editor-in-Chief to the Associate Editors. According to the corresponding areas, each Associate Editor is responsible for sending articles submitted to Ad Hoc Reviewers.

Each reviewer, in turn, receives the article and evaluates it, expressing their opinion in a form accessed on the Journal's website. A period of 45 days is stipulated for receiving the opinions to be sent by the Ad Hoc Reviewers. Each article is evaluated by at least two Ad Hoc Reviewers and, in case of disagreeing opinions, a third Ad Hoc Reviewer review is requested. Exceptional decisions rest with the Editorial Committee.

From the dispatched result the author has 30 days to send the revised version to the Associate Editor. The Editor analyzes and decides on the approval or not of the article based on the material resubmitted by the author based on the opinions of the Ad Hoc Reviewers. Completing the Evaluation stage, the articles proceed to the Editing stage and subsequent Publication.

Upon completing an issue, the edited works are made available on the journal's website.
